Situated in the most idyllic setting lies Cornwall Park cafe in, you guessed it, Cornwall Park. The fit out was simple and exuded relaxed, Sunday family picnic vibes. I highly recommend you visit on a sunshiny day to take advantage of the outdoor dining area by the grass- no need to pack a picnic.
There was a satisfactory lunch selection and while it sounded appetizing on the menu, it looked absolutely mouthwatering on the plate. A few sly glances at the table next to us were stolen before we finally plucked up the courage to ask which delectable looking dishes they were digging into.
Deconstructed Iced Mocha ($9.50)
Beer Battered Market Fish with agria chips, malt vinegar, sea salt, tartare, slaw ($23.00)
Lamb Sausage with streaky bacon, mushroom, crushed potato, balsamic tomato, mushroom, Turkish bread, eggs your way ($23.00)
The portions are a lot bigger than expected and make for an extremely filling and satisfying brunch and the food was as delicious as it looked. There is a lot to love about Cornwall Park Cafe, and I am keen to come back for another round, Overall, it is a great place to catch up over a brunch, coffee and cake before wandering around the park after. Extra mega bonus points for being pet friendly outside, I could barely contain my excitement at the sight of dogs lying under all the tables.
